SEO quality mark becomes SEO Logo

Puting old wine in new barrels is the oldest trick in the book. This knowledge is also familiar with the SEO companies.

Did I earlier mention the arbitrariness and unjust providance of quality marks, due to a discusion about a new SEO keurmerk (SEO quality mark in Dutch) on Voelspriet, now the 'quality mark' providing company tries to shake of the negativeness. After lots of criticism the 'SEO Quality mark' is newly baptized as the 'SEO logo'.

The criticism expressed on various resolute websites and panels who brought clarity on the practices had as a result that they were outed in the searchresults. They wanted out of these results, just because they didn't want to surface with their marks.

Instead of taking the critique to heart, the only thing that changed was the name. Factually nothing happened, the conditions stayed the same but aren't applied on the members. The semblance of security is maintained. In fact, Nothing is done to prevent the abusing 'SEO-experts' from misbehaving again.

Of one of them, who applied duplicate content, one of his domain names was banned. Someone else appropriated the domain name of Google by recording domains with this name, and then applied the same tactics as the earlier mentioned member. Google also intervered here. Not the quality mark issuer!

Checking your quality mark holders is one of the musts issuers should obide by, but it seems that the monthly income of the quality mark money is more important.

Again it doesn't surprise me at all and it will not stop at these incidents.

Quality mark logo offers the same semblance of security

A simple namechange from quality mark to quality logo doesn't take away the trouble. One also tries to trick the naïve customer into trusting the company in question.

Therefore I repeat again:

As long as nothing is arranged and there's no official organ that comes with good initiatives and offeres a solid quality mark, a quality mark bearing company is suspicious on forehand. ;)
